The cliffhanger from the end of Chapter 1 has had me digging into Rip's past searching for clues of his motivations and traumatic experiences leading his soul into the Portal of Yestermorrow to forever be trapped as an NFT.
From this episode, I can't help but see a little part of me in Rip: the nostalgic, irreverent poet of despair who feels (erroneously, of course) that eras gone are eras lost. Unlike Rip, however, I can't actually cross multiverses in order to keep on investigating what brought me such joy or pain... Perhaps that's for the best.
